General and administrative issues

✓ Consortium Agreement : The final version has been sent to the lawyers of the KIC for their approval. The lead partner is expecting for this feedback to carry on with the signatures of the consortium agreement.

✓ The PGAs process is almost over. All partners, except CNRS, have prepared their budget for 2013.

✓ The project review took place on June 10th. A report / evaluation is expected from the KIC.


Project ecosystem

✓ The SEEN project about climate extreme scenarios for the nuclear energy safety has been accepted and will be funded by the French National Agency for Research (ANR).

✓ The EUCLEIA project has been accepted by the COPERNICUS programme (previously known as GMES). The goal of EUCLEIA is to provide quasi real time insight on extreme events from a panel of modelling and statistical methodologies.


Events

✓ The European Meteorological Society (EMS) will be holding the 13th EMS Annual Meeting & 11th European Conference on Applications of Meteorology (ECAM) from 09 to 13 September 2013 (Reading, UK). Climate services are part of the agenda of this conference. More information can be found here

✓ The American Geophysical Union (AGU) will be held in San Francisco between December 9 and 13. The abstract submission deadline has been set to July 24th 2013. To be noticed : a session untitled : "Climate Services: Translating Climate Science into Societal Benefit at Seasonal to Decadal Time Scales". More information can be found here


What's next ?

✓ A weather generator conference call will be held in September or October 2013. This conference call will aim at discussing the scientific issues related to the WGs, notably regarding the tests.

✓ As soon as the IPSL receives the approval from the KIC lawyers, the consortium agreement will be sent to all partners for signature.
